Priced on the grade, the hybrid and the lease route

A Lexus price turns on details: the F SPORT or Luxury grade, the hybrid system’s records, and on a GX or LX, which engine it has. We check each from your answers and photos. If the car is leased, we tell you the route first, because the rules at Lexus Financial Services are reported to have changed in 2026.

The models we buy most.

RX

2016-2022 (4th gen), 2023- (5th gen)

Midsize SUV; gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid

On a 5th gen, the powertrain comes first: RX 350, RX 350h, the RX 450h+ plug-in or the RX 500h F SPORT Performance, then the grade.

NX

2015-2021 (1st gen), 2022- (2nd gen)

Compact SUV; gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid

The 2022 redesign brought the NX 350h hybrid and the NX 450h+ plug-in, so the generation line and the badge matter more than the miles alone.

ES

2019-2025 (7th gen), 2026- (8th gen)

Midsize sedan; gas and hybrid, electric from 2026

On a 7th gen, the ES 350, the ES 300h hybrid and F SPORT versions are priced apart. The 8th gen launched as the electric ES 350e and ES 500e.

GX

Through 2023 (GX 460, V8), 2024- (GX 550, twin-turbo V6)

Body-on-frame SUV

On a GX 550, the Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades with 33-inch all-terrain tires sit apart from Premium and Luxury. On a GX 460, the V8’s records carry the price.

LX

Through 2021 (LX 570, V8), 2022- (LX 600, twin-turbo V6)

Full-size luxury SUV

An LX 570 is priced on miles, condition and a full service history. On an LX 600, the grade, such as F SPORT or Ultra Luxury, and the engine recall status count. A hybrid LX 700h was introduced in 2024.

IS

2014- (3rd gen, refreshed for 2021)

Compact sport sedan

IS 300, IS 350 and the V8 IS 500 F SPORT Performance, added for 2022, sit far apart. Rear-drive versus AWD also counts.

UX

2019- (UX 250h through 2024, UX 300h from 2025)

Subcompact SUV, hybrid

The 2025 UX 300h has more power and a lighter battery than the UX 250h, so the model year and badge set the starting point.

TX

2024- (1st gen)

Three-row SUV; gas, hybrid and plug-in hybrid

The TX 350, the TX 500h F SPORT Performance and the TX 550h+ plug-in are priced apart, and AWD on a TX 350 is checked.

RZ

2023- (1st gen)

Electric SUV

Start with the full-charge range and battery health. After that, the grade and AWD set the price.

What moves the price.

Hybrid system health

A clean dashboard and records of hybrid checks count. Lexus covers the hybrid battery on 2020 and newer models for 10 years from first use or 150,000 miles, so the in-service date matters.

Grade and options

F SPORT, F SPORT Performance, Luxury and Ultra Luxury grades change the number, and so do Mark Levinson audio and a panoramic roof. The VIN shows the grade; your photos show the options.

Engine on a GX or LX

A GX 460 or LX 570 has a V8, and a GX 550 or LX 600 a twin-turbo V6. Each is priced as its own car, and the V8 models lean on miles and service history.

Engine recall status

Some 2022-2024 LX and 2024 GX 550 models are part of a recall for engine machining debris. Tell us if yours has had the inspection or a new engine.

Drive and seating

AWD on an ES, NX, RX or TX and a third row where fitted are priced in, so confirm them in your answers.

Leased Lexus: the 2026 change

Lexus Financial Services (part of Toyota Financial Services)

Most Lexus leases are with Lexus Financial Services, and Lexus Financial Services or Toyota Lease Trust holds the title. Reports say Lexus Financial Services stopped most outside payoffs on October 1, 2026, but this is not officially confirmed, so you may need to buy the car out first, then sell to us. We confirm on your contract.

Paperwork and records.

Payoff from Lexus Financial Services

Get the payoff figure from your Lexus Financial Services account. On a loan, we pay it directly from the sale.

Title in the lender’s name

While a Lexus loan or lease is open, the title isn’t in your name. Have your registration and account number ready instead.

Window sticker and keys

Every smart key, plus the original window sticker if you kept it. It lists the grade and packages in one place.

Hybrid and recall printouts

Dealer printouts for hybrid checks and any recall work help us confirm the car before your offer is locked.

Records worth having

Records worth having

Keep proof of any hybrid battery work. On a 2022-2024 LX or a 2024 GX 550, keep the engine recall paperwork too; you can check any Lexus by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
