Chevrolet
Trim, 4WD and engine records, counted
A Chevrolet truck or SUV is priced on trim, 4WD and engine, and on newer 6.2-liter V8s, on the recall records too. Your VIN and photos tell us most of that. On a lease, GM Financial doesn’t process lease purchases through non-GM dealers, so a buyout comes first.
The models we buy most.
Silverado 1500
2014-2018 (3rd gen), 2019- (4th gen)
Full-size pickup
Trim, from WT to High Country, the 6.2-liter V8, Z71 or ZR2 and 4WD lead. Cab and bed size come next, then towing gear.
Equinox
2018-2024 (3rd gen), 2025- (4th gen); Equinox EV 2024-
Compact SUV; electric Equinox EV
On gas cars, AWD and the RS, Premier or ACTIV trim count. On the Equinox EV, range and battery health come first, then front-drive against AWD.
Tahoe
2015-2020 (4th gen), 2021- (5th gen)
Full-size SUV
High Country and Z71, the 6.2-liter V8 or Duramax diesel, and Air Ride suspension are priced apart. On 2021-2024 V8s, the engine recall status counts.
Suburban
2015-2020, 2021- (new gen)
Extended full-size SUV
Trim and engine lead, as on the Tahoe, and second-row captain’s chairs count. Rear entertainment screens are priced in where fitted.
Traverse
2018-2023 (2nd gen), 2024- (3rd gen)
Three-row SUV
A 2024 Traverse Limited is the older body, so we check which you have. Z71 and RS sit at the top.
Colorado
2015-2022 (2nd gen), 2023- (3rd gen)
Midsize pickup
ZR2 and Trail Boss sit above the WT and LT. On a 2nd gen, the Duramax diesel counts, and so do cab and bed length.
Malibu
2016-2025 (production ended in November 2024)
Midsize sedan
Miles, condition and trim, from LS to Premier, set the price. Service records help most on a high-mile sedan.
Corvette
2014-2019 (C7), 2020- (C8)
Sports car
Stingray, Z06, E-Ray and ZR1, the Z51 package and low miles with records are all priced in. A convertible is priced apart from the coupe.
Trax
2015-2022 (1st gen), 2024- (2nd gen)
Subcompact SUV
The 2024 Trax is a new design, so the model year sets the starting point, then the trim, from LS to the ACTIV and 2RS.
Bolt EV and Bolt EUV
2017-2023 (Bolt EV), 2022-2023 (Bolt EUV), 2027- (new Bolt)
Electric hatchback and crossover
Battery recall work and full-charge range lead. 2017-2019 cars fall under recall 21V-560, and 2020-2022 Bolt EV and 2022 Bolt EUV under 21V-650.
What moves the price.
Trim and 4WD
LTZ, High Country, Z71 and four-wheel drive matter as much as miles on a Silverado, Tahoe or Suburban. The VIN and a photo of the badges show most of it.
6.2-liter V8 recall
Certain 2021-2024 Silverado 1500, Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2-liter V8 are in a 2025 recall for engine defects. Records of the dealer inspection or repair support the offer.
Corvette originality
Low miles, full records and no modifications matter most. Keep the window sticker, since it lists the Z51 package and other options.
Bolt battery records
Proof the battery modules were replaced under the recall helps us price a Bolt. The dealer’s repair order shows it.
Towing and suspension
Max Trailering packages, Air Ride suspension and factory off-road gear are priced in. A photo of the hitch and the trailer brake controller helps.
Leased Chevrolet: buy out first
GM Financial
GM Financial says it does not currently process lease purchase requests through non-GM dealerships, and it appears on 2026 lists of lenders that turn away outside buyers. That puts a buyout in your name ahead of the sale to us. GM Financial also offers lease buyout loans if you need to fund it. We confirm on your contract.

Paperwork and records.
Purchase option price from GM Financial
Get it in the GM Financial app, in MyAccount or by phone, before you buy out.
Loan payoff
For a GM Financial loan, your account number and payoff quote. We pay GM Financial directly from the sale.
Option codes
On many Chevrolets, a label of GM option codes shows the engine and packages. A photo of it, or the window sticker, helps.
Recall records
Dealer paperwork for the 6.2-liter V8 or Bolt battery recall, if your car was included. An inspection that found nothing is worth sending too.
Keep the dealer paperwork for the 6.2-liter V8 recall (25V-274) or the Bolt battery recalls, plus regular oil change records. Your Chevrolet’s VIN shows any open recall at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
