Acura
Type S, SH-AWD and the exact model year
An Acura is priced on badges that change the number: Type S, A-Spec, Advance and SH-AWD. Several models have ended or changed in the last few years, from the TLX to the ZDX, so we price each by its exact year and trim. Leases go through Acura Financial Services, which means a buyout first.
The models we buy most.
MDX
2014-2020 (3rd gen), 2022- (4th gen; there is no 2021)
Three-row SUV
The Type S, added for 2022, A-Spec and Advance packages and SH-AWD are priced apart. Second-row captain’s chairs, where fitted, are checked, and on 2016-2020 models, so is the 2023 engine recall.
RDX
2019-2026 (3rd gen)
Compact SUV
A-Spec and Advance packages and SH-AWD versus front-drive are the main splits, and records for the 2.0-liter turbo help. Acura has said RDX production pauses in 2026.
TLX
2015-2020 (1st gen), 2021-2025 (2nd gen)
Midsize sport sedan; production ended in 2025
The 2021-on Type S with its turbo V6 sits above the four-cylinder cars. On a 1st gen, the V6 with SH-AWD counts, and V6 cars were in the 2023 engine recall.
Integra
2023- (Type S from 2024)
Compact sport hatchback
The Type S and manual-transmission cars are priced apart from the automatic, then the A-Spec package. An unmodified Type S with records is priced above a modified one.
ADX
2025- (1st gen)
Subcompact SUV
A-Spec and Advance trims and AWD are the main splits. On a car this new, the remaining factory warranty counts too.
ZDX
2024 (production ended in September 2025)
Electric SUV
Type S versus A-Spec, AWD and full-charge range lead, and the charging cable should come with the car. Acura says it keeps supporting ZDX owners with service, parts and warranty.
ILX
2013-2022 (1st gen)
Compact sedan
Miles, condition and the Premium or A-Spec package set the price. Records of regular service matter most on a high-mile ILX.
NSX
2017-2022 (2nd gen)
Hybrid supercar
Options from the build sheet, low miles and full records matter most, so keep the window sticker. The final 2022 Type S is priced on its own.
What moves the price.
Type S, A-Spec and Advance
Each badge changes the number. Show the badges and the window sticker in your photos, since some packages look alike from the outside.
SH-AWD
Super Handling All-Wheel Drive changes what an MDX, RDX or TLX is worth against front-drive versions of the same model. The SH-AWD badge on the trunk or tailgate is enough to show it.
Engine
The MDX and TLX Type S use a turbo V6, the standard MDX a non-turbo V6, and the RDX, TLX and Integra a turbo four. We match yours to the VIN.
V6 records and the recall
On the 3.5-liter V6, proof of the timing belt service supports the offer. Certain 2015-2020 TLX and 2016-2020 MDX models were in a 2023 connecting rod bearing recall.
Audio and driver aids
ELS Studio audio and the Advance package driver aids are priced in where fitted. Include a photo of the speaker badge and the driver-assist buttons on the wheel.
Leased Acura: buy out first
Acura Financial Services (American Honda Finance Corporation)
Acura leases run through Acura Financial Services, part of American Honda Finance, which lets only the lessee or an Acura dealer buy the car. That means a buyout in your name comes first, and the sale to us after it. Tax and fees on the buyout are yours, so add them to the purchase price. We confirm on your contract.

Paperwork and records.
Purchase price from Acura Financial Services
Ask for the lessee purchase price in your AFS account. Once the buyout clears, the car is in your name and ready to sell.
Loan payoff
For an Acura loan, the payoff quote and your account number. We pay Acura Financial Services from the sale, and you receive the rest.
Package proof
Send the window sticker if you have it; otherwise photos of the badges, the ELS logo and the driver-assist buttons.
Engine recall paperwork
On a 2015-2020 TLX or 2016-2020 MDX, the dealer’s recall inspection record. If the engine was repaired or replaced, include that invoice too.
Keep the V6 timing belt receipt and any dealer check from the 2023 engine recall on 2015-2020 TLX and 2016-2020 MDX models. An open recall shows by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls.
