Offer minus payoff.
You see all 3 numbers before you agree.
Example, for illustration only
Amount
Our offer for the car
$25,000
Your loan payoff
$18,000
Paid to you at pickup
$7,000
Made-up round numbers, not an offer.
Payoff, not balance.
Interest and fees can make it differ from your statement. We use your lender’s quote, rechecked before pickup.
What we need.
Your lender
The lender’s name and your account number.
Your permission
To ask your lender for the exact payoff.
ID and keys
Your photo ID and every key and fob.
Your registration
Your lender usually holds the title until it’s paid off.
Your payoff, step by step.
You see every number before you agree, and nothing moves until you sign.
01
You tell us the lender
In the questions, with a rough payoff if you know it. The offer screen shows offer minus payoff right away.
02
We get the exact figure
With your permission we ask your lender for a payoff quote, and check it again just before pickup.
03
We pay the lender
At pickup, from the sale. Whatever is left is sent to you by bank transfer.
04
The lender closes the loan
Your lender releases the title once it’s paid. A week later, check that the loan shows as closed.
On the day.
We pay your lender, then send you the rest by bank transfer.
A week later, confirm the loan is closed.

Owe more than it’s worth.
You cover the gap to sell. We show you the exact figure first.
