How it works
Four steps.
From your first answer to the bank transfer.
01
Tell us about the car
Plate, VIN or a photo of the VIN label, then the miles, six condition questions and any loan or lease. About 2 minutes.
02
Get your offer
Our buyers price the car from your answers. The offer usually arrives within minutes, on your screen and by text, and is held for 7 days.
03
Lock it with photos
8 guided photos on your phone. Each one is checked as it arrives, and once our team approves the set, your offer is locked.
04
Pickup and payment
We come to any US address at a time you choose. You’re paid by bank transfer before the car leaves, and any lender is paid first.
What sets your price.
Your offer is what we pay to buy the car outright. These are what our buyers look at.
The car itself
Year, model, trim and factory options. Two cars with the same name can be far apart, so we confirm the trim from your VIN where we can.
The miles
Fewer miles usually raise the offer. A close guess is fine for the questions; the dashboard photo confirms it.
The condition
What you tell us and what your photos show: body damage, warning lights, tires, the interior and any smoke or pet odor.
The history
Title records, reported accidents and service history. A full maintenance record supports a stronger number.
Keys and extras
Every key and fob, the charging cable on an electric car, and original parts or accessories that came with it.
The market
What similar cars sell for right now, and what it costs to recondition and resell this one.
If you have time and don’t mind strangers test-driving your car, a private sale can bring more.
When your price can change.
Only for something you didn’t tell us about.
Held 7 days from the moment you see it.
Locked once we approve your photos.
Anything you disclosed is already priced in.
Any change is itemized, and you can walk away and owe nothing.

At pickup.
Have ready: photo ID, every key and fob, and the title or your lender’s details.
01
We arrive
At the address and the two-hour window you chose.
02
A walk-around
We check the car against your answers and photos.
03
You sign
We bring the sale documents, ready to sign.
04
You’re paid
By bank transfer, with any lender paid first.
05
The car leaves
Not before you’re paid.
We prepare the paperwork.
You sign once, at pickup.
Bill of sale
With the title transfer documents for your state.
Odometer disclosure
Required for most cars from model year 2011 on.
Your payoff
We pay your lender from the sale, and the title release follows from them.
Your state’s forms
We tell you which forms are yours to file, such as California’s release of liability, due within 5 days.
How you get paid.
By bank transfer at pickup. Any loan or lease is paid off first, and the rest goes to you.
$0 fees. If you owe more than the car is worth, you see the gap before you agree.

Questions about the steps.
Anything else, ask in the question box or talk to a person.
How long does the whole thing take?
Do I need to be there at pickup?
Can I add the photos later?
What if I change my mind?
Can I take the photos on my phone if I started on a computer?
